GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 9, 2008) - Dr. Marina Ponton, acupuncture physician and owner of Greenville Natural Health Center, has been named a certified practitioner for Last Call, a health program that combines multiple treatment methods such as acupuncture and herbs to treat alcohol addiction.
An alternative to the traditional 12-step program, Last Call focuses on methods that decrease the desire to drink rather than on abstinence. Last Call is a one-month program that includes a five-day stay at a Last Call treatment facility, followed by three treatments per week by an acupuncture physician. Dr. Ponton treats clients served by Last Call’s facility in Asheville, NC. Last Call also operates treatment facilities in Atlanta, Charlotte, Destin, FL, and Palm Beach, FL.
Dr. Ponton has worked and lectured in the United States, Sweden, and Holland. Her extensive studies include the American University of Paris, FAMU University in Prague, The University of Miami, and The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine.
